Summary of the Job:

The primary responsibility of the Fixed Income associate is to provide support to the Fixed Income Sales and Trading teams. A significant portion of the role's duties are administrative in nature.

About This Role:

Salary range is $55,000 - $75,000 - dependent on experience and licensing.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Working directly with Fixed Income sales representatives, traders, and analysts, you will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative functions, including sending trade tickets, resolving trade errors, corresponding with third parties concerning settlement issues, setting up new accounts, data entry into Excel and other administrative maintenance issues.
  • Communicate with clients and colleagues regarding their investment portfolio and trading activity.
  • Capable of explaining the distinguishing characteristics of fixed income securities, including municipal, corporate, government and asset backed securities.
  • Quickly establishes rapport and earns their trust with clients and colleagues.
  • Addresses all client concerns daily with a focus on delivering exceptional service and quality customer service.
  • Miscellaneous support duties, as assigned, by Management and Portfolio Services.

  • Understands and complies with FINRA, MSRB, SEC and all other Company required rules, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Self-starter with a positive, relationship-building attitude.
  • Will be required to work with Bloomberg with past experience working on Bloomberg preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Possesses outstanding organizational skills, ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines in a timely and effective manner.
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be very detail oriented.
  • Demonstrates initiative, problem solving ability, adaptability, and flexibility.
  • Maintains a high degree of integrity and ethical behavior.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree program preferably in Finance or Business or experience equivalent 3-5 years of Fixed Income experience.
  • FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 63 licenses will be required, but are able to work towards once hired.
