Bring our games to life by creating eye-catching visual effects and animations for slot machines. Lead the technical art team through the development process-set priorities, solve problems, remove obstacles, and facilitate communication. Bridge the gap between the art, animation, and engineering teams. The ability to translate a game designer's vision into an actionable plan for the technical art team, give and receive constructive feedback, and provide direction to both creative and technical teams is essential.

Work with a group of exceptionally talented artists and animators creating animations that complement and enhance the slot player's experience. The ability to work quickly and efficiently as part of a team, take direction, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure is crucial.

Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the art and engineering teams to implement game assets into Unity

  • Work closely with the software engineer to prepare final animations in formats necessary for integration into the game

  • Understand and resolve technical issues relating to graphics (e.g., rendering, streaming, memory management, playback performance, etc.)

  • Assist artists, animators, and engineers with technical issues related to the art pipeline

  • Communicate with the game designer and development team in an iterative development process

  • Maintain well-organized working files to facilitate file sharing and collaborative work

  • Archive all final working files for future use using version control software

    Qualifications

    Experience

    • 2-5 years of professional experience in technical art, 2D/3D animation, or motion graphic design

    • Professional experience leading teams, managing artists, animators, and/or engineers

    • Gaming industry experience is preferred, but not required

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Enjoy working in a creative environment

    • Have a strong sense of design, motion, and timing

    • Ability to work well with others in a team environment

    • Ability to receive art direction and provide multiple design solutions

    • Ability to adapt to new technologies

    • Proficiency in Unity, Unreal, or a similar game engine

    • Working knowledge of particle systems (Unity or equivalent)

    • Working knowledge of scripting languages (C#, Python, or equivalent)

    • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator

    • Working knowledge of 3D animation (3DS Max, Maya, or equivalent)

    • Proficiency in compositing and rotoscoping a plus

    • Proficiency with shaders and shader creation/coding a plus

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
