About the role

The CDL Driver will perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Covanta facilities and the client's sites. Drives will be able to operate various equipment including vacuum tankers, trucks, vans, and flat beds.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate equipment following DOT regulations and company policies and regulations.
• Drive commercial vehicles to pick up safely and transport waste to a designated location while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations.
• Ensure the placarding of the vehicle meets DOT regulations.
• Maintain paperwork, including expense reports, timesheets, vehicle inspection reports, manifests, and job sheets.
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Secure cargo prior to and during transit.
• Complete additional assigned duties.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED preferred.
• Must be 21 years or older due to interstate travelin a commercial vehicle and federal regulations.
• 2+ years of commercial driving experience.
• CDL Class A with Tanker endorsement required.
• HazMat endorsement is highly preferred but not required.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to use a tablet for E-Logs.
• Abide by standard DOT regulations at all times.
