Overview

The Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing information systems solutions to meet the business requirements of our organization. This role will design, document, implenent and work with complex business integration requirements. Will work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications. The System Analyst will also be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining the systems to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

    Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure the successful implementation of solutions.

  • Evaluates existing components or systems to determine integration requirements and to ensure final solutions meets organizational needs.

  • Lead projects/matters of high complexity in a lead and/or support role.

  • Designs, develops, tests programs based on user and design specifications, with an emphasis on financial / regulatory reporting, but not limited to:

  • Conducts data mapping: defines data elements, entity relationships, input and output sources, and how data will be transmitted through a proposed system; estimates the type of information to be entered, computed, updated or otherwise used in the system; estimates data volumes.

  • Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes and corrections.

  • Root cause, track and verify fixes for issues throughout full development lifecycle.

  • Support the continuous improvement of integration and testing processes, procedures, applications and tools.

  • Maintain and update systems to ensure they remain efficient and effective.

  • Deliver testing principles and techniques to ensure the quality and reliability of developed solutions.

Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience in a lead role managing data integration development projects.
  • 2-4 years of industry experience with Visual Studio.
  • 2-4 years background experience in a banking, financial or business field using formal methodology.
  • Proficiency in working with relational database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) to query and manipulate data.
  • Strong understanding of system analysis techniques and methodologies to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., SQL Reporting Services, Power BI, Qlik) to analyze data and create visualizations for reporting purposes.
  • Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Code and design (stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints).
  • Ability to create data models (e.g., ER diagrams) to represent business requirements and design database structures.
  • High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Proven leadership abilities including effective knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation of open discussions, fairness and displaying appropriate levels of assertiveness.
  • Ability to communicate highly complex technical information clearly and articulately for all levels and audiences.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies/tools and train your peers.
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written.
  • Proven track record to automate.
  • Proficient in creating technical documentation (e.g., user manuals, system design documents) to communicate system requirements and functionalities.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or in a related field.
