Role Summary:
Reporting to the Networking & Services Manager, the Services Specialist is a key member of the Kendall Services team. The primary responsibility of the Services Specialist is business development for the manufacturing services portfolio that Kendall offers. The person in this role will work closely with the sales team to identify targets, prospect customers, develop a sales funnel, and close opportunities that ensure revenue growth of the Service Solutions delivered by Kendall and partnering manufacturers. The Services Specialist should also cross-functionally collaborate with their fellow technology peers in the Automation Group to develop or expand services around respective technology segments.
Exciting work you will do:
The essential duties and responsibilities of a Services Specialist will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Develop and execute the business plan for manufacturing services
  • Manage the sales funnel, ensuring that all opportunities are properly qualified and prioritized
  • Discover and develop new business opportunities
  • Work with Account Managers to collectively close opportunities
  • Train inside and outside sales on the services portfolio
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

What you'll need:
  • Work Experience: 3 years' experience in a sales or sales associated role
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years equivalent work experience
  • Analytics/Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, business acumen, including problem solving skills, critical thinking, analytical skills and profitability understanding
  • Organization Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in fast-paced, and continuously evolving environment
  • Cross-functional skills: Able to build and nurture relationships with existing or new clients; highly motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications we prefer but don't require:
  • Work Experience: 5 years' specifically selling services or selling solutions; business development experience in manufacturing or automation technology
  • Analytics/Computer Skills: CRM experience, proposal drafting experience
