About the role

Reckitt IFCN Zeeland is a seeking a motivated self-starter with ambitions in the sciences or product quality to intern with the Quality department. Reckitt is a global organization that exists to protect, heal, and nurture in the relentless pursuit of a cleaner and healthier world. The IFCN site in Zeeland, MI is a major manufacturer of infant and child nutritional powders and the Quality department is responsible for the testing and review of all stages of production from raw materials through finished products.

Interns are expected to follow established SOPs and/or methods while working on advancing projects to improve our Quality systems. Projects may include instrument/method optimization to support Operations and Quality objectives, improvements to our documentation systems, improvements to our accreditation programs such as ISO 17025 and FSSC, among other projects. Inters are also expected to maintain records in compliance with good manufacturing and regulatory practices.

The experience we're looking for
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in science or technical subject
  • Instrumentation experience with Raman, NIR, FTIR, or other spectroscopy desired.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills desired.
  • Proficiency with standard laboratory operations, equipment, and technique desired.
  • Experience with the calibration and maintenance of lab equipment desired.
  • Familiarity with laboratory computer systems, including Chromeleon, Syngistix, and Sample Manager desired.
  • Experience in an FDA-regulated GMP environment desired.
