Job Description

Summary:

Reports directly to the Business Manager. In collaboration with the Systems Administrator extracts data from various file and data storage formats for LCI statistical and financial reporting and special report requests. Consistently monitors data and its systems for data integrity. Performs daily charge reconciliation. Prepares check requisitions for signature and accounts payable processing.

Responsibilities:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

In collaboration with the Systems Administrator extracts data from various file and data storage formats.Manipulates and analyzes extracted data to develop LCI statistical and financial reports including dashboard metrics profit and loss statements site volumes and RVU productivity preparing monthly operational results to leadership and administration.

Manipulates and analyzes extracted data for additional monthly reporting including Access to Care pharmacy drug expense and LCI provider activity comprised of both LCI providers and non-LCI providers.

Generates special data reports as requested on a monthly quarterly or annual basis.

Consistently monitor data and its systems for data integrity and take corrective actions for all file system and other errors.

Works collaboratively with the Systems Administrator as needed to continually monitor system output working collaboratively to address any related issues.

Perform daily charge reconciliation which includes reviewing daily charges for reasonableness and working collaboratively with coding on any issues.

Prepares check requisitions for signature and accounts payable processing ensuring all invoices reflect the current LCI contracted amounts on file.Maintain vendor payment log for all LCI contracts.

Other duties as assigned by the Systems Administrator or LCI Business Manager.

Occasional travel between facilities or sites is required.

Other information:

BASIC KNOWLEDGE:

Minimum of an Associate degree or equivalent in computer science business administration or related field or equivalent work experience.

Experience with utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.Knowledge of EPIC a plus.

Knowledge in extracting manipulating and analyzing large amounts of data from computerized healthcare information systems for reporting purposes.

Experience in utilizing personal computers and related software including Microsoft Office with a strong working knowledge in Excel.

Strong organizational skills to gather project information format appropriately to facilitate data entry and to prepare and maintain records and reports.Ability to perform computer-assisted statistical analyses.

Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently to complete job expectations.Effective communication skills.

Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with Hospital professionals and external customers.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of three years of related experience preferably gained in a similarly diverse and operationally complex health care environment.

Education knowledge and demonstrated ability and skills that are necessary to operate a personal computer to develop and maintain spreadsheets and provide statistical and financial reporting.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires the visual and manual dexterity to operate a computer.Normal office environment with some walking to other areas to investigate and resolve problems or attend meetings.
