How You'll Perform the Role

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning Asset Care activities and events to ensure the most efficient use of resources and readiness to maintain proper equipment condition.

  • Assemble work kit for each of the organized maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain Work Order log and assign resources and tasks to balance workflow of Maintenance Team.
  • Responsible for initial categorizing of incoming Work Orders and identifying scope of work required.
  • Evaluate and document Work Order history and results in CMMS system.
  • Use Work Order history to continually improve the plant Reliability Plan (Preventative/Corrective Maintenance).
  • Work with Procurement support to ensure readiness of parts and equipment.
  • Order materials and stocks as needed for task completion.
  • Work under direction and leadership of the Plant Maintenance Manager.
  • Preserve and monitor accounts, orders, and contractor responsibilities.
  • Provide technical recommendations and implementation for continuous improvement in plant Reliability Processes.
  • Able to read and interpret vendor (OEM) manuals and drawings.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively with shop floor personnel, vendors, suppliers and management personnel.
  • Ability to perform some level of cost analysis and work within a structured budget.
  • Ability to write detailed repair summaries.
  • Able to develop and deliver a clear and concise presentation when required.
  • Fully understands Novolex Reliability philosophies and need for structure, definitions and RC solutioning for improvement.

What We Need From You

  • Prior experience as a maintenance planner preferred
  • High School diploma or GED; Associate's degree from a college or technical school preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related field preferred
  • Experience in an industrial environment preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
