Job Description

The Estimator Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of customer projects, including estimation, costing, scheduling, labor and shipping from initial stages to completion. They ensure that all steps in the fabrication process are completed correctly and on time, while also ensuring that quality standards are met throughout the entire process. They will utilize AutoCAD to read, analyze, interpret and alter drawings and review blueprints and other design documents to ensure that they are adequate for fabricating the product. The Estimator Project Manager will also coordinate with vendors to ensure that they have the materials needed for their portion of the project and settle any disputes or conflicts between Olympic Steel Inc. and customer.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Engineering or related field and/or 3+ years of experience in project estimation and scheduling
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication processes
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, notably Excel and Word
  • Understanding of AutoCAD with ability to read, edit and interpret blueprints
  • Familiarity in SAP is desired
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on demand
