Job Description

International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) has an opening for a Maintenance Coordinator in Memphis, TN. This role owns the Asset Care Scheduling process. The role leverages knowledge of the production schedule and the windows for maintenance to ensure the timely completion of work. This position utilizes knowledge of the production organization job steps (decommissioning, lockout, and recommissioning) plus the maintenance and capital work execution steps to ensure integration to minimize cost and production downtime. This role will coordinate/negotiate with all stakeholders to attain the best Business solution as appropriate.

Responsibilities of the maintenance coordinator include but not limited to:

  • Understand the Production strategy (goals), how it pertains to operating the production process, and how equipment effectiveness and availability impact the Production strategy.
  • Lead integration of the Work Management Process (WMP) into the production, maintenance, and engineering cultures.
  • Ensure proper information in notifications and work orders to provide reliable data.
  • Scheduling.
  • Adjust the maintenance schedule to align with production scheduling.
  • Validate acceptable completion of maintenance/engineering activities.
  • Support the integration of the Reliability Management Process (RMP).
  • Improve SAP equipment structure.
  • Active team member on the area Reliability Improvement Team.
  • Knowledge of:
  • Site safety and environmental requirements and policies.
  • Plant work requirements and procedures
  • Plant equipment and repair procedures.
  • DPS principles and how they apply to the workplace.
  • Production strategies/goals and equipment requirements to meet yield, uptime, cost of manufacture, and working capital.
  • The production process, how the equipment connects, and how equipment performance impacts the production process.

Ability to:

  • Achieve desired results primarily through influence management.
  • Utilize SAP functionality including work order system.
  • Set ambitious standards and goals of performance for self and others.
Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/ GED or higher.
  • 8 years minimum of manufacturing experience in an operation and/or maintenance role.
  • OR 3 years of manufacturing experience in an operation and/or maintenance role (with an applicable engineering degree).
  • Lead or supervisory experience - preferred.
  • Maintenance planning or scheduling experience - preferred.
  • Project and/or systems management experience - preferred.
  • Effectively communicate and build/maintain relationships.
  • Communicate effectively on one and in group settings.
  • Preventative/Predictive maintenance skills.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Driving Change and proven influence skills.
  • Effective listening skills.
