In 2012, Vanessa Vasquez graduated from Alverno College with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Women Studies, Psychology, and a minor in Spanish Language and Cultures. Vanessa has worked as a bilingual Admissions Counselor for the Admissions Department at Alverno. Recently Vanessa transitioned to working under the department of Student Affairs as a Residence Life Coordinator. In her spare time Vanessa dedicates her time volunteering for the advancement of Hispanic students in higher education and serves as a mentor and advocate for their success. She served as the 2013-2014 Ms. Mexican Fiesta Ambassador, representing the Wisconsin Hispanic Scholarship Foundation/Mexican Fiesta.
