Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies is hiring a Procurement intern (undergraduate) to join our Manufacturing Operations department based in Lakewood, Colorado. The Procurement team is responsible for buying the raw materials necessary to manufacture our medical devices and corresponding disposables kits.

Example projects this intern may work on include:

  • Update delivery dates for open order reports and send to necessary parties
  • Process non-conformances and disposition product
  • Research part shortages and run demand simulations
  • Pull engineering prints from Windchill Quality Management System to be used for Request for Quotes (RFQs)
  • Update and confirm Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP

Skills and experience this intern will gain:

  • Understand the supply chain and procurement processes for a global manufacturer in a highly regulated industry, including how to forecast and plan material needs, obtain pricing, buy materials, inspect and stock purchased materials and deal with bad product
  • Unique opportunity to witness two new manufacturing plants come online
  • Sit in on calls with suppliers when the team is working through an issue or negotiation
  • Opportunity to work cross-functionally with various teams in supply chain, engineering, quality and manufacturing
  • Training in Windchill Quality Management System and SAP Enterprise Resource Planning System

Internship Details

  • Duration: Start as soon as possible, duration is flexible
  • Part-time: 8-10 hours per week
  • 100% onsite at our facility in Lakewood, Colorado

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Business Management or a related discipline

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Detail-oriented when it comes to entering data into systems
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative, comfortable asking questions and working with others, and resourceful in seeking solutions

Target Pay Range:$13.00to$17.00- Hourly pay rateto be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
